Jianna Hamilton. I am a professional dancer and choreographer from Detroit, Michigan and I am relocating to Brooklyn, New York to continue to expand as a performer. I began dancing at the age of 3 at The Institute of Dance at Marygrove. Studying in various disciplines such as ballet, jazz, and tap. In 2021, I attended  Detroit School of Arts where I trained in new disciplines such as hip-hop, contemporary, modern, and west african. While continuing my training I began creating my own pieces and took interest in choreographing. In March of 2025, I premiered my biggest piece entitled PITBULL which was awarded the Student Choreography Award and showcased at the Evening of Fine Arts at the Fox Theater. After graduating from Detroit School of Arts, I signed with LM Productions and was casted for Holiday Detroit, produced by Lisa McCall. From there, I began producing and choreographing my own production. I Found that choreography is a way to heal and connect. It is in fact a launguage in itself. I want to offer dancers a way to heal through movement.
